Gullah Geechee community reaches a deal with Ga. county in a fight for services (NPR’s Morning Edition)

The Gullah Geechee community on Sapelo Island has reached a settlement with the state of Georgia and McIntosh County after filing a lawsuit in 2015 alleging their civil rights were violated when both the state and county failed to maintain basic resources like a police or fire station and the ferry that connects the island to mainland Georgia.
